4th of July 2012

We went to the downtown Houston 4th of July celebration. It was hot, but fun. Sara Evans and Billy Currington played. Isabella danced! They even filmed her for the tv broadcast. Unfortunately we didn't dvr the event. It was a great night. Another first, Isabella saw her first fireworks! She loved them and asked yesterday if we could go see them again!

Olympic Gymnastic Trials

Last night Isabella decided to watch the gymnasts through her binoculars. Tonight when the rerun if the trials came on tv, she ran upstairs to her room to grab them! This kid is funny!

Rainy Day

Sometimes on a rainy day, you just CAN'T wait for DADDY to come home!

Isabella does some funny things and says some even funnier things...
I thought I'd take a moment to blog them to keep them somewhere for memory's sake.
Recently, Isabella really wants to enter into conversation with people but was going about it all wrong. She just kept asking people, "What;s your name?" (even when she already knew your name). We taught her to ask people about what they like and then they will start visiting. Our first conversation prompt was to teach her to ask someone, "What's your favorite color?" She's definitely mastered this, and has now taken it TOO FAR! She literally asked Jill, "Whats your favorite color?" about 20 times while we were driving around watching Christmas lights. It's totally cute and while our favorite colors stay the same... Jill, Daddy and Desmond all like blue. Mommy likes red. Isabella's favorite color changes multiple times a day. The colors that keep coming up are orange and purple and pink.
Some other questions we are encouraging are:
What's your favorite number?
Do you have a favorite movie?
What's your favorite song?
Basically, Isabella just wants to enter into conversations like the adults around her. Table talk and friendly conversations are a BIG part of growing up!
