Christmas LOVE

Christmas with Momma's Momma and Bob's family

Santa left a BUNCH of presents under the tree at Tammy's house. Our family has a tradition where the youngest child gets to pick three gifts to start the festivities (young and not so young get to pick presents in order by age after that). This year, Natalie wasn't the youngest... Isabella started us off by picking the gifts first!


Rich shared some of his presents with Isabella. He tried to teach her about the Green Bay Packers, but Isabella just kept trying to teach him about the Aggies.

Santa brought Isabella a wooden spoon and fork in her stocking. Isabella wouldn't put it down ALL DAY! Here's one of my favorite pictures of the day... two happy babes!

Christmas with the Boggus Bunch

Isabella knew what to do at Pop's house... she was a gift unwrapping pro by then... she loved her great gifts and her dad LOVED helping her unwrap.


We were trying to teach her how to keep up with gift cards... it kind of looks like she's getting it.


There was LOTS of family at Pops...
Pops, Beckie, GG Ma, Pa, Tom, Char, Sarah (and Kaya coming soon), Ken, Rachel, Will, Hope, Alexis, Amanda, Chris, Becky and TREVOR! Trevor is one of Isabella's step-cousins. Trevor is six and ready to teach Isabella all sorts of things. This year he got a tool belt, hard hat and safety goggles. He was teaching Robert how all his new stuff works! He is a sweet lil guy and will be a wonderful big kid example for Isabella!

She loved the wrapping paper as much as the wonderful presents she received.

Rain drops on Roses and Wiskers on Kittens....these are a few of my favorite things.

Isabella got an AMAZING train from her Gigi. It lights up, sings, chooo choos, and it even has blocks that stack and move!


Honey and Papa gave Isabella a Leap Frog play table. It can teach her colors, letters, shapes and numbers. You can also flip a page in the book and it plays different tunes. Isabella LOVES, LOVES the music side or page. She likes pulling up and banging on all the parts to make great music.


Yes, she loves this box. She discovered it while I was putting out Christmas decorations and we've taken it with us everywhere this month. She likes to bang on the box. She likes to pull toys out, dump toys out, and sometimes put them back in the box. What fun.


This kid is fascinated with books. As a mom and a teacher I would like to believe that it is a great love for reading that we have instilled in her... however, I think it's just because she totally enjoys turning pages these days. Santa brought her a new cloth book to add to her diaper bag collection.


Diane, Jim and Natalie gifted Isabella with a tutu. Robert helped her open the box and he looked at me like, "What is this?" I wasn't so sure if Isabella would wear it, but we put it on her and she thought it was GOOD STUFF. She had a great time pulling on the ribbon, patting the tule (SP?), and running her fingers through the flower. He cousin to be, Kaya Lynn, got an infant sized tutu. When we go visit the Cowards at Spring Break we will get pictures of the girls in their ADORABLE tutus. STAY TUNED!

We are parents...silly parents, and we waited in line with Isabella to get a glimpse and a few photo ops with Mr. Claus. The pictures below show our waiting in line (2hrs) and finally our Santa visit.

More Christmas

We went to Moody and Celebrated Christmas with my dad's family the Sunday and Monday after Christmas. It was good to see everyone and we were once again showered with fun gifts, especially for Isabella. Dad and Janice have great taste, they bought her coordinating pieces without even knowing it!Then we drove back to Dallas to celebrate with my mom, Sarah, Ken, cousins and the Shelton's. It was a wonderful time to relax and enjoy. Isabella is set up with lots of more cute clothes, tiny hangers, and toys. We appreciated the diaper champ and pack-n-play... I'm sure Isabella will appreciate it in time! :)Robert scored lots of fun gifts and I did too! Best of all, we were able to spend lots of time with the Cowards and the deLunas who we don't get to see so often since they live so far away. Margaret, Sarah and I realized we won't see each other again until I'm well into Motherhood! It was quite a crazy epiphany. On Sunday, the 4th... we got a text message that our sweet friends the Varn's welcomed their baby girl, Gracie into the world at 5:44 a.m. What a fun way to start 2009... thanks to all our friends and family for a FABULOUS 2008!

So much to do... so much has been going on...

I'm so sorry it has been so long since my last post. In the time that has passed, so much has happened....
* Robert went to Vegas for the 5th year in a row and the guys had a GREAT time.
* It snowed two inches in Houston. It was the coolest thing I have seen in a long time... and so out of context!
* School is out, first semester down. My kids were overly generous and gave me lots of great presents. One little girl brought me a pair of red baby crocs for Isabella (our baby to be).
* We passed the 100 day mark, and now can count down the birth date in the double digits.
* I made Janice's homemade mac n cheese for Robert to take to his pot luck at work and it TURNED OUT!
* We purchased the baby's crib and will get to go pick it up this weekend and put it together... stay posted for photos!

We're ready to see friends and family over the holiday break.... :)

O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree

We fought the good fight and went to Garden Ridge to buy our first Christmas tree.
We have a few ornaments, but lots of lights. I think it looks great.
This time next year, Isabella will be in the ornament mess helping us pull it all out and put it up on the tree!
