Isabella

We went to the rodeo again last night. This time, it was just adults. The kids stayed home with Denise.

During the mutton bustin' they asked each of the little kids what they wanted to be when they grow up. It's a common question, but one we've never posed to Isabella. The kids at the rodeo answered typical 5/6 year old jobs: firefighter, cheerleader, princess, veterinarian(all those kids must have pets)!

It got me thinking, so this morning I asked Isabella what job she wanted to have when she is a grown up. She answered this, "Mom, I'm just a kid. I don't want to be a grown up yet- I just like being a little kid." Point made. Then I pressed- well if you had to think of something you'd like to do for your job when you are a grown up... "Ok, mom, I just want to be a pony."
There you have it folks-- the difference between a 3(almost 4 year old) and kids who have been through kindergarten. I guess we start to cultivate vocation in Kinder!! Hahahha.
